]]>It’s June! And other than Pride, what does that mean? Summer! Well, at least in the Northern Hemisphere.
Some people’s absolute nemesis, and other people’s biggest enjoyment for the entire year, it’s a season that’s also very fittingly celebrated within Los Santos and Blaine County.
After all, who doesn’t like being mauled by a cougar who doesn’t care about the heat while you’re just lounging next to a cactus? And for those who can, who doesn’t like jumping into their swimming pool… or someone else’s Vinewood swimming pool even, or the absolutely, 100% clean sands of Vespucci Beach?
This week, we celebrate the Summer Solstice by walking straight into the sun, looking at how you’re all preparing for the upcoming heat season – all from your lenses.
Remember to put on sunscreen, and enjoy!

]]>Ah, time. For many it seems like something obvious, it just passes, things evolve, people are born and pass away, generations are created, all very straightforward logic. For others however, things might be a little bit different… what if there’s alternate universes? What if our time is actually some other Earth’s time? What if we’re entangled in a time problem and not even we know where things all started? Can we travel in it, can we modify it and cause a disaster as a result?!
This week, we disturb the space-time continuum to go back and forth between the eras of GTA Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 (or perhaps even between a timeline that never had cars and one that did…), and look at the duality of time, the duality of objects and permanence between two very different times. Your horses versus your cars, your high-rises versus your gothic buildings, and much more.
Enjoy!

]]>Whether you’re in Blaine County or in West Elizabeth, in modern day or the past, one thing that there isn’t a shortage of is forests and trees. Well, more so in West Elizabeth because we all know what’s been happening to forests in the modern age, and we can only hope that the Los Santos Tourism Board pushes for the big corpos to not completely cut it all off… right? Ah who am I kidding.
This week, and inspired by The Cure’s “A Forest”, and their own Robert Smith’s dream of being lost in the woods, which inspired the song, we look at some of what Nature still has to offer across GTA Online and Red Dead Redemption 2, all from your lenses, older and newer.
Enjoy!

]]>It’s finally June. The month of Pride, longer days, and the nemesis (or the opposite) for many – the stinging heat and hell in the Northern hemisphere, and the rain and cold in the Southern hemisphere… well, mostly.
Regardless of where you’re located, you’ll probably be wanting some rain and thunderstorms to cool you down, or perhaps you’re already sick and tired of those.
In San Andreas, things are warm yet repetitive, although hints of tropical storms and perhaps even a tornado or two (N.B.: please proper severe weather in GTA VI) are becoming reality more and more. Everyone across the state either runs for their lives at the drop of one raindrop, or they take out their phones and cameras and submit things to Snapmatic.
Many years in the past however, climate change may have not been as evident or dangerous, but boy can things get crazy in Lemoyne and even New Austin, from sweeping thunderstorms to the lightest of rains that make for some moody shots.
This week, we look at the magic of the atmosphere across the Heartlands and New Austin, and the current-day state of San Andreas, all from your modern and old-timey lenses – classic, and recent snaps.
Enjoy!

]]>This week, a sudden influx of British executives seems to have taken Los Santos by storm, and whilst those that only see money in Downtown Los Santos are excited about this, this doesn’t seemingly extend to everywhere in the city.
What British executives you may ask? Dewbauchee executives of course. For the next week, all dealerships in Los Santos (except Luxury Autos) and part of the LS Car Meet have been gotten a bit of a brand takeover, one that’ll surely get a lot of car enthusiast eyes, as they’re even giving people rewards for purchasing one of those beauties (we were not paid to say this, do not even try again Dewbauchee).
Dewbauchee has regardless always been prized for how good some of their cars look and perform, so this week, we’re taking a look at both your recent and classic camera rolls, in a showcase that is definitely not sponsored by Dewbauchee.
Enjoy!

]]>John Marston – a man that went from mindless gunslinger, to a honest man who was trying to make up for mistakes and absence, to give Jack and Abigail the life they deserved despite adversity.
After Arthur Morgan’s death (but not before a period of turmoil where perhaps his old ways were taking over again), he moved on to have a proper family house in Beecher’s Hope in an attempt to finally live a normal life, but this didn’t stop the Bureau of Investigation agents from finding and kidnapping him; in search of information on former associates, including Dutch van der Linde, who ended up finding out that perhaps gravity is stronger than hubris.
Fourteen years ago, Red Dead Redemption released, a game that to this day is considered one of Rockstar’s best designed and best written, following John Marston’s life post the events of Red Dead Redemption 2 (well, technically).
A re-release on modern PlayStation consoles and the Nintendo Switch, alongside a rumoured potentially upcoming PC port, have reactivated many of the community’s screenshot buttons and this week, we celebrate 14 years of Red Dead Redemption all via your lenses, in a game that has stood the test of time in many ways.
Enjoy!

]]>For centuries, the sky has been one of the biggest alleged messengers of the present and future, good graces or bad graces. Constellations seemingly meaning there is something to come, deities who had direct relations with what’s beyond our view, and discoveries made by the greatest scientific minds of this Earth.
Nobody knows what’s beyond the stars – if extraterrestrial or immortal life, a crazed multi-mind AI coming for all of our knowledge, an asteroid crashing onto us, or massive solar flares that make aurorae reach the most unlikely of places.
We do know one of the things that is “beneath” the stars however, and that is all of us on Planet Earth. This week, we look at the beautifully realistic and bright night skies (trivia: every constellation in RDR2 is real) of the Heartlands and beyond, all through your cameras.
Enjoy.

]]>The life of a cowpoke, or a gunslinger if you’d prefer (and I agree!) is certainly one of lots of travelling, sometimes on foot. But then comes the bigger problem. You’re carrying heavy belts full of resources and food, your ammo on your shoulders, alongside a bunch of guns that will probably make people call you a hunchback in 10 years from now.
Things are difficult, but across the 5 states there is no gunslinger without a companion – that is, if you haven’t just gotten off a difficult scrap with a big bear, or a bunch of bandits hiding in the rocks of Ambarino or in the swamps of Lemoyne.
Any purveyor of justice across the Heartlands will probably have some experience taming a horse and making it their friend, in fact, their best friend!
This week, we highlight your best horsey friends, all from your handheld and advanced camera lenses – from the Great Plains to Saint Denis, the mountains, and beyond. Enjoy!

]]>It’s that time of the year! The one where even those averse to touching some ground grass, will touch grass because there’s nearly no way to avoid it in current-era Los Santos. It is legal, after all!
From all the selling and sharing going on, to official celebrations of the event, and LD Organics’ strong push for their better and stronger variant. Perhaps it’ll lead you to places you’ve never seen before, perhaps something to rival Mutt’s special acid… but without the unhinged nightmares of course.
Fittingly, we’re also close to Earth Day, so why not make Earth proud by at least smoking something natural, rather than a whole pack of strong Redwood in one go?
This week, we look at how the community is celebrating 4/20, and we go deeper into their activities with an out-of-body experience and some nostalgia on Franklin and Lamar’s adventures, all from your lenses. Puff, pass, and enjoy.

]]>Regardless of whether you’re reading this in the past, the present or the far future, Los Santos is probably never going to stop being one one of the West Coast stops for some of the warmest and brightest landscapes in the United States of America.
Causing some explosions whilst selling cargo? (check out this week’s CEO bonuses!) Warm colours! Looking directly at the sun during an eclipse? Well, maybe no colours. Perhaps you’re imagining how things might look like a thousand years from now – maybe your images will be found by someone?
There is always some time to get that Snapmatic app out and take pictures of some of the most beautiful and relaxing landscapes – of course, Oppressor Mk2’s, Hydras and other air vehicles to spoil the fun aside.
This week, we look at some recent and classic community Snaps of Los Santos’ (and Cayo Perico) burning shores – the orange and warm, the blue and cooler, the ocean, sky and more. Enjoy!
